How to Manage Multiple Ship Dates and Stage Goals

Edited

The Ripen App is optimized for a single Target Date and a single Stage Goal per room zone. However, multiple shipments and color stages may be expected per order.

This page describes best practices for managing Target Dates and Stage Goals for cycles with shipments over multiple days or for two color stage programs and carryover fruit.

How to Select a Target Date for Multiple Shipments

Scenario A: The majority of cases are expected to ship on the last shipment day

  • Target Date: Last shipment time

  • Stage Goal: Lowest acceptable color for last shipment time

Scenario B: The majority of cases are expected to ship on the first shipment day

  • Target Date: First shipment time

  • Stage Goal: Lowest acceptable color for first shipment time

Scenario C: The majority shipment day is not known at the beginning of the cycle

  • Target Date: First shipment time

  • Stage Goal: Lowest acceptable color for first shipment time

When to Change the Target Date for Carryover Fruit

If there will be carryover fruit, please update the Target Date after recording the original shipment in the Strella app. If you follow a split color program, also update the Stage Goal to indicate your intention to progress the fruit to the next color stage.

Here are some guidelines for selecting those new values:

  • Target Date: Enter the last shipment time after the original shipment is recorded.

  • Stage Goal: Lowest acceptable color for last shipment time. This applies to split color programs.
